After her father commits suicide, though, she decides against the tattoo. Citizens are committing suicide and doing outrageous things to remove the tattoo, and Kayla begins to intuit that there is more to the tattoo than meets the eye of the consumer. A name, age, and blood type couldn’t possibly be a motive to kill yourself!
When Kayla`s best, let alone only friend, Amber, gets the tattoo, Amber`s family is thrown into turmoil and are forced to leave town. After Amber leaves, Kayla is befriended by a resister group, called Decode. Kayla starts to deeply emerge herself into their missions, and continues to search for answers.
Global-1 is gaining operate over society, and has passed a law that makes the bar code tattoo a law. Kayla is finding it increasingly hard to survive. If you try and pay with a card, everybody throws a fit, and since cash has been obsolete since 2013, it`s the card or the code. No exceptions!

She discovers that she isn’t the only one running away, and isn’t the only one who has lost all hope of abolishing the tattoo.

My opinion, Best & Worst, and who to suggest it to
1) My concept of the book, personally, was a favorable one. I unquestionably liked the book. It`s theme was very powerful, and was a qoute a majority of us face at one point in our lives or another. Even though the conformity issue was magnified in the book, all of us perceive an issue like this. The author’s style of writing was third-person limited. I personally liked the way the author wrote the story. It was nice to know Kayla`s story, and had it not been written knowing Kayla’s point of view, you would not have gotten her story, or at least not as in-depth, as well as her thoughts and reactions.
2) I think the best part of the book is when Kayla finally finds Eutonah. I think this was uplifting. I suppose that the concept of finding your savior when you have lost all of your hope is a uplifting thought, which is why I think I chose this as the best part of the book. The worst part of the book, emotionally, was when Kayla goes straight through the tragic death of her mother. Kayla attempts to stop it and in the interim of this, she burns off her hair and suffers from a slew of burns.
3) other literary work that reminds me of this novel is Frank Hubert’s “Dune” series, a science fiction book packed with political themes and messages, just like The Bar Code Tattoo.
4) I would suggest this novel to anything concerned in political science fiction. The author has a very exciting concept that she has wrapped the book around, and it unquestionably reels you in! The Girl Who Played with Fire is the second film in a three part trilogy anchored by The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and to be followed by The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. The films that have been released so far have received R ratings due to strong sexual content, brutal violence, nudity, and language.

This is a Swedish film with subtitles- though you do have the option to play it dubbed in English. It is not requisite that you watch the first film, but it may help you understand the relationship between our lead heroine, Lisbeth Salander, and Mikael Blomkvist, the publisher/ investigator of the Millennium magazine. Watching The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will allow you to understand why Lisbeth, for example, throws a carton of gasoline on a man sitting in a car and then proceeds to toss a lit match in his face, catching him on fire when she was only twelve. Watching the first film will also retort the interrogate of why she is seeking to keep her adoptive guardian frightened into reporting only distinct comments about her to the authorities.
In The Girl Who Played with Fire, Mikael runs an investigative magazine called the Millennium, which revolves nearby uncovering the dark and private underworld of society. She needs to ensure that Bjurman is keeping his word about sending distinct reports of her to the court authorities. Carefully, and with the most of ease, she hacks into his email and breaks into his home while he’s asleep to retell any correspondence about her behavior. Lisbeth is unpleased; he has not been sending in any reports for some time. Removing a gun from his desk, she confronts the sleeping man. She threatens to issue a distinct video to the communal if he does not keep his promise. Also, if he plans to remove a tattoo that she had given him, there will be repercussions.
Sometime shortly after, Mikael stops by Dag’s apartment to see the facts his new connect has. He finds both Dag and Dag’s girlfriend murdered with the gun carelessly abandoned next to one of the bodies. The police investigation discovers that the gun belongs to Nils Bjurman. At Bjurman’s home it is soon discovered that he too has been murdered, and by the same gun. The tattoo that Lisbeth warned him not to remove is now revealed as well. It just so happens that Lisbeth’s finger prints are the clearest ones found on the murder weapon. Suddenly, news stations and the papers have her face plastered across them saying she is responsible for the three murders and is still at large. Both Mikael and Lisbeth work independently to scrutinize who is behind these murders. They locate the responsible villains, but some of Lisbeth’s sacred privacy will be lost.
If you like suspense, mystery, crime and a wee bit of a thriller in a movie then you will probably enjoy the entire trilogy! The Girl Who Played with Fire is a pretty good corollary up to the first film. It doesn’t seem to have quite the intensity as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but it is absolutely worth watching. I am not sure how the films correlate to the books but it is a nice turn to a lot of the lackluster films that are out there now. I bought it and feel that it was worth the money spent.
